Signature Verification System

A signature is identity. Keeping it secure and keeping it available are usually in tension — this system resolves that.

The problem

Held at one branch, needed at every branch.

In banking, a signature is one of the most important pieces of customer identity data. A transaction is valid only when the customer signs, so the signature has to be secure.

For a bank with many branches, security means signatures are held only at the branch where the account was opened, and are not distributed. That is the right call for security — and it makes verifying a transaction at any other branch slow.

What the system does

It displays the electronic signature to other branches and to head office, integrated with the bank’s core system, so the record stays held where it should be while the verification happens where it is needed.

  • Cross-branch and head office signature retrieval
  • Integration with the existing core banking system
  • Controlled access, with the signature record centrally held rather than copied out
  • Materially faster verification at the point of transaction
